Official Start of the Columban Way 2024 – Bangor here we come!

The Columban Way got underway this morning with over 50 pilgrims following in the footsteps of Saint Columbanus along the beautiful River Barrow towpath starting at the monastic settlement of Saint Mullins towards Tinnahinch and finishing in Borris, County Carlow. The Ceatharlach of Carlow County Council Fergal Browne and Bishop Denis Nulty officially launched this year’s walk and spoke about the significance of Saint Columbanus and his influence in Europe and the potential for the Columban Way to connect communities along the 571km route.
